3 steps to project perfection
IT systems implementation
The successful delivery of any IT project, big or small, can work out to be a monumental task if it’s not managed properly. There’s no substitute for experience and through countless assignments there’s little we’ve not seen or done. You can therefore be confident that we’re perfectly primed to deliver your next IT project without any fuss.
Phase 1 – Good preparation
The success of any project is rooted in good planning. At the design stage we will have scoped out a blueprint for your solution, which will be checked and double-checked before we embark on the work. With your permission, we’ll spend as much time as we can getting to know the intricacies of your IT before we start so there are no surprises and we’re best prepared should something out of the ordinary arise. This also provides time to make sure that any potential disruptions to your business are kept to a minimum. A final pre-project meeting ensures that all of the key stakeholders involved in the project know what’s happening and the chain of events that will occur and when.
Phase 2 – The Delivery
We want you to be as involved as you possibly can be, but whether you choose to be hands-on or hands-off you’ll be kept abreast of progress throughout every stage of delivery. From the offset, we’ll do a thorough check of all the relevant technology before it’s put into service and establish suitable delivery dates, minimising any downtime and working in accordance with your schedule.
We’ll then orchestrate everything involved in the implementation of your solution, from initial configuration to integration with the IT you already have in place, troubleshooting any potential issues as we go. After delivery has been completed, depending on the scope of your solution, a “mop-up” day will be dedicated to any final touches and fine-tuning, during which one of our engineers will be available on-site to answer any questions you may have and make sure that everything is in working order.
Phase 3 – The Post-Project Handover
Following the successful completion of the project, we sit down with you to confirm whether you’re happy with the solution and its delivery, or whether collectively we think there’s still more work to be done. We’ll go over snag lists with you and tie off any loose ends, and, most importantly, get your agreement that our solution has met your initial objectives. A knowledge transfer finally takes place wherein we train the relevant members of your team on the technologies we’ve implemented, allowing your people greater autonomy and a better understanding of what forms your core infrastructure.
